ChangelogForge — Automated GitHub Release Notes & Changelogs
Turn every commit into a polished changelog. Features, Fixes and Breaking Changes are classified automatically with reasons you can verify. Sign in with Google or Microsoft, connect your GitHub repositories and ship release notes in minutes.
What is ChangelogForge?
ChangelogForge (one word) is an automated GitHub release-notes and changelog platform operated by Universal Global Services Ltd. It is unrelated to Minecraft Forge mod loaders or SourceForge. Connect the ChangelogForge GitHub App in one click and every configured release event becomes a classified draft that can be published to GitHub Releases in one click.
Built for Engineering Security
ChangelogForge uses official GitHub App least-privilege permissions, reads commit metadata and diffs only to classify your release draft, and never stores, redistributes, or trains AI models on your proprietary source code. No credit card to start. Operated by Universal Global Services Ltd (London, Companies House No 17423506).
Trigger detail: 1 generation = 1 generated release draft (configurable to your release branch, PR merge, release, or on-demand trigger — so routine feature-branch commits do not burn your monthly quota).

Smart Classification
Features, Fixes, and Breaking Changes are detected and highlighted automatically.
Team Approval Workflow
The Team plan adds an approval workflow: review draft releases and approve them before they are published.
Publish Anywhere
Publish your changelog to GitHub Releases with one click.
Stop accumulating release debt
Release debt grows every sprint: commits pile up, the changelog stays empty, and release notes become archaeology at ship time. ChangelogForge converts each push into a classified draft while the context is still fresh, so the changelog never falls behind the code.
0-click changelog generation
Push a commit like fix: prevent duplicate webhook deliveries and ChangelogForge generates a classified draft entry under Fixes with a short reason. No manual writing and no copy-paste from git log: the changelog-generating step happens automatically on push, with 0 clicks until you review.
$0 Free plan in plain sight
Public repos start on the $0 Free plan: 3 generations per month, 1 public repository, no credit card required.
CTA without a login wall
Open the public demo changelog and see a complete example first: no sign-in is required to evaluate the output. When you are ready, start free in one click.

Why ChangelogForge instead of Release Please or semantic-release? Traditional CI scripts break the moment one developer forgets Conventional Commit prefixes (feat:, fix:). ChangelogForge classifies real-world commits without commit-message religion, includes a verifiable reason for every item, and adds a Team approval workflow ($49/mo) before anything goes live on GitHub Releases.

Frequently asked questions
Why ChangelogForge instead of Release Please or semantic-release?
Traditional CI scripts break the moment one developer forgets Conventional Commit prefixes (feat:, fix:). ChangelogForge classifies real-world commits without commit-message religion, includes a verifiable reason for every item, and adds a Team approval workflow ($49/mo) before anything goes live on GitHub Releases.
Is the AI classification reliable?
Every change includes a short reason, so you always see why an item was classified as a feature or fix.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is free and requires no payment details.
Are taxes included?
Prices are shown in USD and do not include taxes. Where applicable, VAT or sales tax is added at checkout through Stripe Tax. EU business customers can use reverse charge with a valid VAT ID.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy: EU and UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal, and after that a pro-rata refund of the unused billing period can be requested if we materially fail to provide the purchased functionality and cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time.
At what price does ChangelogForge pay for itself?
At a conservative $80/hour engineering cost, Pro ($228/yr) breaks even by saving just 2.85 hours per year — only 14.3 minutes per month of manual release-note archaeology (Team $49/mo breaks even at 36.7 minutes/month). Public repos start on the $0 Free plan.
