Release debt accumulates when changelog writing is postponed until ship time. ChangelogForge turns a configured trigger — release branch push, PR merge, release event or on-demand — into a classified draft (Features, Fixes, Breaking Changes) where every item carries a short, verifiable reason. Routine feature-branch commits do not burn your monthly quota: 1 generation = 1 generated release draft, configurable to your trigger. Manual release-notes writing takes roughly 20–40 minutes per release for a mid-size change set; ChangelogForge produces the draft while the context is still fresh.
push, release and pull_request events (verified in the public manifest); the generation trigger itself is configurable (release branch, PR merge, release, or on-demand).commit 3f9a1c2 fix: prevent duplicate webhook deliveries\n → Fixes — "retries the webhook sender once after a 5xx, idempotency key added"\ncommit 8b21e04 feat: add approval workflow to release drafts\n → Features — "new approval step visible on the release draft page"\ncommit 1d77aa0 chore: bump stripe sdk\n → Breaking Changes — "Stripe API version bump changes checkout field names"
Illustrative example data (synthetic commits marked as example, not measured production output) mirrors what a published draft contains: section, summary and a reason that can be checked against the diff.
